WEEK 10! It’s technically week 11 right now but I got behind, whoops.
In 10 weeks, I’ve managed to cover just about 50 miles even, averaging 3 miles per outing.
My best mile time so far is 14:41, although I’m not counting “for real” just yet, and that’s way under what I normally do.
I average about 5500 steps on my Pokewalker per outing.
The Air Force Half Marathon is now 14.5 weeks away.
The Disney World Marathon is now 32 weeks away.
LET’S DO THIS.
Whoops, kind of late posting this one considering week 9 is now half over. It got stupid hot out basically overnight, which made coming back to running regularly a less than awesome experience.
Week 7: 10 miles of walking and hiking, plus a little biking. I think this injury thing is officially over!
Visited Letchworth State Park in New York this weekend for a picnic and hike. That’s some view.
Taking a moment to spam your dashboard with this fancy new logo I made.
Also with the fact that I’ve got a twitter account you should follow @induljharder !
Carry on.
The knee works again! I’ve been taking it slow, and will continue to do so for the next week or so until I’m more confident that running is good again. I know what caused the problem, and I know what I need to do to prevent it from happening again, so all’s well. I’m going to become very good friends with a knee brace.
I also signed up for the Air Force Half Marathon in Ohio in September. We’ve been planning to check out the museum there for a while, plus I wanted to fit in some kind of event prior to Disney in January. This seems like a good fit, and killing two birds with one stone. Or shoe. Or whatever. I can do this!
And Indulj leveled up again, hooray!
Whoops, threw my knee out of whack. Nothing serious, but it could really hurt a little less and I would be pretty ok with that. I did a whopping 2.2 miles last week. Taking this week off to let it heal up. Hopefully it won’t take any more than that, but who knows.
After a month or so of walking, this week marked an easy transition into running. I’m starting slow with short walk/run intervals three days a week, walking and resting on the other days. Definitely lower in mileage than before, but probably more productive.
Week 3 breakdown:
Total mileage: 7
Average steps: 5000
Week 2 breakdown:
10.74 miles total
4600 steps average
Indulj level up!
I also made a page on Dailymile to keep track of this nonsense. I signed up for a marathon (!!) which is this upcoming January. But more about that later.
