WEEK 10! It’s technically week 11 right now but I got behind, whoops.
In 10 weeks, I’ve managed to cover just about 50 miles even, averaging 3 miles per outing.
My best mile time so far is 14:41, although I’m not counting “for real” just yet, and that’s way under what I normally do.
I average about 5500 steps on my Pokewalker per outing.
The Air Force Half Marathon is now 14.5 weeks away.
The Disney World Marathon is now 32 weeks away.

Week 9! I kind of fell behind in getting these done because the last two weeks have been unexpectedly busy. At any rate, here’s the breakdown for week 9, thanks to Runmeter:

Whoops, threw my knee out of whack. Nothing serious, but it could really hurt a little less and I would be pretty ok with that. I did a whopping 2.2 miles last week. Taking this week off to let it heal up. Hopefully it won’t take any more than that, but who knows.
After a month or so of walking, this week marked an easy transition into running. I’m starting slow with short walk/run intervals three days a week, walking and resting on the other days. Definitely lower in mileage than before, but probably more productive.

I also made a page on Dailymile to keep track of this nonsense. I signed up for a marathon (!!) which is this upcoming January. But more about that later.
At some point I decided I wanted to try running a marathon. I am keeping track of my progress in getting there by drawing scribble comics and carrying my Pokewalker when I head out. My Pokewalker contains a Charmander named Indulj.
